In alignment with its noble mission to build productive and sustainable communities, and based on our values of solidarity and our vision of African communities having access to basic life necessities, Afrika Hayat Association has distributed hot meals to the displaced people in Sudan due to the ongoing war.
The challenges of Sudanese living conditions
Most Sudanese people are living in extremely difficult conditions. According to the ‘Integrated Food Security Phase Classification’ report, about 18% of Sudanese are facing food shortages that may lead to severe malnutrition, which can result in death.
“Help Sudan” campaign and distribution of meals
This meal distribution is part of the campaign launched by the foundation under the title “Help Sudan” in response to the dire conditions faced by the population due to the ongoing war. The meal distribution targeted 750 beneficiaries who were classified as the most in need.
Afrika Hayat Foundation in different sectors
Afrika Hayat Association implements various relief programs in several key sectors, most notably food, education, and public health, as well as developmental work in general.
The foundation carries out these programs according to appropriate strategies that enable it, as much as possible, to leverage these communities’ potential and build on their inhabitants’ skills and capabilities, thereby enhancing their participation and impact on their lives and future toward empowered and sustainable communities.
