Chad needs
Clean water, food, and health are all components that are required for stability within a community. Without clean water, an estimated 58 percent of the population in Chad uses unsafe water sources for drinking, promoting disease. From a food security point of view, approximately 38% of children report chronic malnutrition, stunting their growth and impinging on their general health. The health sector performs poorly due to the shortage in the number of medical resources and medicines, hence complicating accesses to primary healthcare, particularly in rural areas.
Our turn in Chad
AHAD Association remains a shining beacon of hope and assistant in Chad, striving day in and day out to fill in the critical gaps required by the residents. In the water sector, clean and safe sources of water are provided through well-digging projects and improving the distribution systems, reducing waterborne diseases. In the area of food security, nutrition activities on children with chronic malnutrition improve their health and development. In the case of healthcare, the association equips facilities with resources and medicines necessary for the community to enhance accessing basic health care. AHAD’s activities demonstrate deep commitment to humanitarian values and human solidarity that create an improving impact in the lives of the people in Chad.
