Ghana needs
About 20% of the people in rural areas lack pure water availability. This factor makes them prone to all sorts of diseases related to contaminated water. Education too has a number of pending needs that include upliftment of schools for better education and facilities. There are various areas where quality schools with adequate human resources and physical infrastructure are not available. In addition, medical facilities in many villages and rural areas have not been up to the mark, with an alarming doctor-to-population ratio of 0.1 doctors per 1,000 people, hence leaving a lot of people without adequate health care.
Our turn in Ghana
AHAD Association is playing a paramount role in mitigating the multifarious challenges faced by communities in Ghana. It is the association’s contribution to providing clean water through well-dig projects and improving water distribution systems that reduce risks from waterborne diseases that may put lives at risk. In the educational sector, AHAD works to increase the quality of education by rehabilitating schools to ensure a better environment for learning, enabling children to focus on building their future. Into health, the organization supports the strengthening of communities with access to primary health facilities.
