Nigeria needs
Nigeria faces dire needs in food security, water quality, and health provision. It is estimated that about 25 million people are affected by food insecurity, considered as the daily struggle of people to afford adequate food. Access to clean water remains another dire need; about 70 million people have no access to safe drinking water, which worsens the situation regarding public health. More than 40 percent do not have access to adequate health services, which enhances health risks and slows down the pace of development. These figures reflect the brutal reality many face in Nigeria.
Our turn in Nigeria
AHAD is working diligently in Nigeria for the community’s basic needs through strenuous efforts and focused initiatives. In food security, the organization undertakes food distribution programs for poor families in order to help them confront growing hunger with healthy nutrition. In water, AHAD facilitates access to clean drinking water through well-digging projects with an increased struggle for safe water and improvement of public health. Lastly, in healthcare, AHAD delivers necessary medicines and provided basic healthcare that has given the needed medical services to the population and improved the quality of life.
