Sudan needs
Sudan is a country of rich history and the mighty Nile, hosting various challenges in fields of development, rehabilitation, and clean water. On matters concerning development, 46% of the populace live below the poverty line, while immense and continuous work can be put in place for economic and social development. On rehabilitation, much is obstructed by continuous conflicts in which rebuilding and building up efforts can hardly be recognized. Furthermore, better sanitation services reach only 17% of the rural population, thus creating a multitude of pathways for spreading disease, for which intervention urgently needs to be supplied.
Our turn in Sudan
The AHAD Association plays an inspiring role-it is a beacon of mercy and in complete accord while facing the overall challenges affecting Sudan. In particular, it tries, with humanitarian aid, to improve economic and social conditions by offering support for rehabilitation and development in order for 46% of the population living in poverty conditions to overcome the miserable situation. It works for better access to sanitation services, with resulting effects on disease risks and improved quality of life. The association further carries out capacity-building projects that rejuvenate livelihoods in conflict-affected communities and instill new hope among people for a better future. AHAD is committed to humanitarian work as an embodiment of the spirits of collaboration and sibling affinity and, in this sense, reflects deep-seated yearnings for change within Sudan.
