8. Mercy to the children of the deceased Muslims, charity to them, and the satisfaction of their needs, whoever was benevolent with them, Allah is good to him.

In Islam, an orphan remains under the care of a sponsored family until he is able to rely on himself or until he can do without support, and he reaches this stage when he finishes his education and gets a job opportunity. As for the sponsored girls, the sponsorship period lasts until they are married, according to the words of Allah Almighty: “and afflict the orphans, even if they reach marriage, then you are an adult among them, so pay them their money,” and sponsorship of the orphan continues until he reaches adulthood, and if he reaches it and is needy or poor, money is given to him as charity and not as a sponsorship. When he reaches adulthood, he is described as an orphan. The primary responsibility for caring for children lies with the parents, and in case of their loss, this responsibility is gradually transferred to relatives, and if they fail to do so, the turn of society comes to bear this burden.
