As the war enters its second year, the suffering of women in Sudan has significantly worsened, as they face immense challenges related to displacement and seeking refuge, in addition to sexual violence due to the conflict.
Access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and clean water has become increasingly difficult due to the war, making it harder for women to obtain these necessities.
Sexual Violence and Sudanese Women
As the war continues, there has been a sharp increase in cases of rape and sexual violence against Sudanese women, leading to unwanted pregnancies and severe psychological trauma.
There has also been a significant rise in suicide rates among women in Sudan due to the psychological shock caused by these assaults.
Additionally, the difficulties women face in accessing safe abortion services have further exacerbated their challenges, making their situation even more difficult.
Lack of Medical and Psychological Care
Access to medical and psychological care has become extremely difficult for women in Sudan due to the deteriorating security situation, which has resulted in the destruction of health facilities. The absence of these essential services exacerbates the suffering of women, making them more vulnerable to diseases and mental health issues, especially at a time when they are in urgent need of support and care.

Women in Sudan Struggling to Survive
A significant number of women are responsible for securing food for their families. This struggle has disrupted one of the main sources of income they rely on agriculture leading to food shortages and rising prices of basic goods, which in turn has increased poverty rates and dependence on humanitarian aid.
In response, Afrika Hayat Association has launched a special development program aimed at assisting and facilitating livelihoods.
Sudanese women have faced additional challenges due to natural disasters like floods, which further complicate living conditions and exacerbate humanitarian crises.
The Role of Afrika Hayat Association
The suffering of women in Sudan calls for collective efforts to provide for their basic needs, which helps alleviate the impact of the crises they face amid ongoing conflict. As part of our continuous efforts, Afrika Hayat Association continues to provide aid to women affected by the war. We call on everyone to contribute to alleviating their suffering through donations and supporting our mission.
